Ipanema Bed by LeComfort

The Ipanema Bed by LeComfort is a contemporary upholstered bed defined by clean structural lines and distinctive raw-edged stitching. Its restrained geometry allows the upholstery to become an important part of the overall design, giving the bed a sophisticated character that can be adapted through different fabrics, colours and textures.

The softly padded headboard, side rails and footboard create a comfortable upholstered appearance while maintaining the precise proportions of the design. For bedrooms where additional storage is important, the Ipanema Bed can be configured with CONTENITORE or STAY mechanisms, using the space beneath the mattress as practical concealed storage.

High-resistance steel actuators and a gas-spring assisted mechanism provide the technical foundation for these optional storage configurations.

Free delivery throughout Europe on orders over €2,000.

Ipanema Bed – Contemporary Design with Raw-Edged Stitching

The character of the Ipanema Bed by LeComfort comes from the combination of simple geometry and carefully considered upholstery detailing.

Its structural lines are highlighted by raw-edged stitching, introducing a subtle decorative element without compromising the clean character of the bed.

Rather than relying on elaborate ornamentation, Ipanema places greater emphasis on proportion, upholstery and texture. The selected fabric can therefore significantly influence the final appearance of the bed.

Soft neutral textiles can create a calm and understated composition, while darker or more textured fabrics can emphasise its architectural form and raw-edge detailing.

Padded Headboard

The headboard of the Ipanema Bed is padded with form-stable expanded polyurethane foam with a density of 30 kg/m³.

A resin-bonded layer covers the polyurethane beneath the final upholstery, providing the foundation for the upholstered surface.

This construction gives the headboard a comfortably padded appearance while helping it maintain the clean geometry that characterises the Ipanema design.

The restrained form also makes the headboard particularly versatile when selecting different upholstery textures and colours.

Padded Bed Frame and Footboard

The upholstered construction continues around the bed through the side rails and footboard.

These elements are also padded with form-stable expanded polyurethane foam with a density of 30 kg/m³ and finished with a resin-bonded covering beneath the upholstery.

Using the same padding specification throughout the structural upholstered elements helps create a visually coherent design.

The result is a bed that combines clearly defined lines with the softer appearance expected from a fully upholstered bedroom centrepiece.

Optional CONTENITORE Storage

The Ipanema Bed by LeComfort can be configured with a CONTENITORE storage mechanism.

This option makes practical use of the otherwise unused space beneath the mattress, providing concealed storage within the footprint of the bed.

The system uses high-resistance steel actuators finished with an anthracite grey epoxy powder coating.

A gas-spring mechanism assists the movement of the storage system, creating a practical solution for accessing the space beneath the mattress.

The integrated compartment can provide useful additional room for bedding, blankets, pillows and other bedroom essentials while keeping them discreetly stored away.

STAY Mechanism

A STAY configuration is also available for the Ipanema Bed.

Like the CONTENITORE version, the STAY mechanism incorporates high-resistance steel actuators and a gas-spring assisted system.

The steel components are finished with anthracite grey epoxy powder coating, providing a durable finish to the functional mechanism concealed within the bed.

The availability of both CONTENITORE and STAY configurations allows Ipanema to combine its refined upholstered appearance with additional everyday functionality.

Upholstery as Part of the Design

Fabric plays an especially important role in the appearance of the Ipanema Bed.

Because the overall geometry is deliberately restrained, changes in upholstery colour and texture can substantially influence the final character of the design.

Warm beige, sand, cream and taupe fabrics can emphasise the softer side of Ipanema and work particularly well in calm contemporary bedrooms. Grey and darker tones can make the structural geometry more pronounced, while textured fabrics can highlight the raw-edged stitching.

This allows Ipanema to be adapted to a broad range of bedroom styles without changing the fundamental design.

Practical Design for Modern Bedrooms

The combination of clean lines and optional concealed storage makes the Ipanema Bed by LeComfort particularly suitable for modern bedrooms where both appearance and practical use of space are important.

The storage mechanism is incorporated within the footprint of the bed rather than requiring additional cabinets or freestanding storage furniture.

When closed, the mechanism remains concealed, allowing the upholstered exterior and raw-edge detailing to remain the dominant visual features.

This combination of understated styling and practical functionality makes Ipanema equally suitable for larger bedrooms and interiors where efficient use of available space is a priority.

Customise Your Ipanema Bed by LeComfort

The Ipanema Bed by LeComfort combines contemporary upholstered geometry, distinctive raw-edged stitching and carefully padded construction with optional concealed storage.

Choose from the available LeComfort fabrics, colours and textures to create an Ipanema configuration suited to your bedroom interior. Optional CONTENITORE and STAY mechanisms can add practical functionality when additional storage space is required.
