Tahiti Sofa-Bed by LeComfort

The Tahiti Sofa-Bed by LeComfort combines the elegance of a refined contemporary sofa with the practicality of a comfortable single or double bed. Carefully balanced proportions, distinctive raised piping and a choice of armrest styles give Tahiti a sophisticated appearance that fits naturally into both classic and contemporary interiors.

During the day, Tahiti is an elegant and comfortable sofa with supportive seat and back cushions. In the evening, its patented opening mechanism transforms the sofa into a practical bed in one smooth movement, without removing the seat or back cushions.

A 12 cm polyurethane foam mattress, integrated pillow storage, and several sofa-bed sizes make the Tahiti Sofa-Bed an excellent solution for everyday living, guest rooms, apartments, and multifunctional interiors.

Free delivery within Europe for orders over €2,000.

Tahiti Sofa-Bed – Elegant Design with Distinctive Piping

One of the defining details of the Tahiti Sofa-Bed is its elegant raised trim.

The piping follows the contours of the upholstery and can be used to create subtle or more expressive colour combinations. Contrasting trim highlights the carefully balanced geometry of the sofa, while a coordinated tone creates a quieter and more sophisticated appearance.

The result combines the familiar proportions of classic upholstered furniture with a cleaner, more contemporary character.

Tahiti can also be configured with different armrest designs, allowing its overall appearance and dimensions to be adapted to the room.

Three Armrest Options

The Tahiti sofa-bed is available with Trendy, Sailing, or Simply armrests, each creating a slightly different visual character.

Trendy armrest – 9 cm
A refined and balanced option suitable for a wide range of interiors.

Sailing armrest – 12 cm
A wider armrest that gives the sofa a more substantial appearance.

Simply armrest – 7 cm
The most compact option, particularly useful when minimising the overall width of the sofa is important.

The armchair-bed is available with the Trendy armrest.

This choice makes it possible to balance appearance, comfort, and available room space when configuring the Tahiti Sofa-Bed.

Easy Sofa-to-Bed Transformation

At night, the Tahiti Sofa-Bed by LeComfort reveals its second function.

The integrated mechanism uses a polished metal base with a high-resistance powder-coated finish. Its patented design allows the bed to be opened and closed in a single smooth movement.

Most importantly, there is no need to remove the seat or back cushions before opening the bed.

This makes the transformation considerably more convenient for regular use. Instead of separately storing loose sofa cushions every evening, the seating remains integrated with the mechanism as the bed is opened.

The result is a sofa-bed designed not only for occasional guests but also for situations where quick and uncomplicated conversion is important.

12 cm Polyurethane Foam Mattress

Tahiti is equipped with a polyurethane foam mattress with a density of 25 kg/m³.

The mattress is 12 cm high, measured at its centre.

It provides a dedicated sleeping surface that remains concealed inside the sofa when the bed is closed, allowing Tahiti to retain the appearance of a conventional upholstered sofa during the day.

An optional fireproof mattress is also available for projects requiring additional fire-resistance specifications.

Integrated Pillow Storage

Practicality continues with a useful storage area incorporated into the backrest.

The integrated pillow storage provides a convenient place for sleeping pillows when the sofa is being used in its daytime configuration.

This is especially valuable in apartments, guest rooms, and multifunctional spaces where additional storage furniture may not be desirable.

Comfortable Seat and Back Cushions

The Tahiti Sofa-Bed is designed to provide comfortable everyday seating as well as sleeping functionality.

The seat cushions use non-deformable polyurethane foam with a density of 30 kg/m³, upholstered in Tecnoform.

The back cushions use non-deformable polyurethane foam with a density of 18 kg/m³, also upholstered in Tecnoform.

The seat is supported by crossed elastic belts integrated into the sofa-bed mechanism, helping provide flexible and supportive seating.

Optional fireproof foam is available where required.

Strong Internal Structure

Behind the upholstered exterior is a robust structure combining several materials selected for their specific structural functions.

The construction includes:

Supporting frame in painted steel
Solid pine wood components in variable thicknesses
Class E1 particleboard components
Hard wood-based or cellulose-based panels
Complete Tecnoform covering of the internal structure

This combination provides the structural support required for a piece of furniture that functions both as an everyday sofa and as a convertible bed.

Fully Removable Fabric Upholstery

The Tahiti Sofa-Bed by LeComfort is available in fabric or textile upholstery with fully removable covers.

This makes maintenance more practical and allows customers to choose from a broad range of upholstery colours, textures and finishes.

Fabric composition and cleaning requirements vary according to the selected textile, so the individual care instructions supplied with the chosen upholstery should always be followed.

The raised decorative trim can be used to emphasise the sofa’s shape, particularly when a contrasting colour is selected.

Sofa-Bed and Armchair-Bed Configurations

Tahiti is available in several configurations, allowing the sleeping solution to be adapted to the available room space.

Available seat widths are:

2-seater sofa-bed – 72 cm
3-seater sofa-bed – 82 cm
3-seater Maxi sofa-bed – 92 cm
Armchair-bed – 93 cm

Depending on the selected configuration, Tahiti can provide a practical single or double sleeping solution.

Please note that these measurements refer to the specified seat widths. The final overall dimensions depend on the selected sofa-bed configuration and armrest type.

Additional Dimensions

Seat height from floor: 52 cm
Seat depth: 58 cm
Backrest height from floor: 76 cm
Feet height: 12 cm

Tahiti is completed with aluminium-finish feet, which provide a clean and contemporary contrast to the upholstered body of the sofa.

Ideal for Guest Rooms and Multifunctional Living Spaces

The Tahiti Sofa-Bed is particularly well suited to interiors where furniture needs to perform more than one function without compromising the appearance of the room.

In a living room, it functions as an elegant upholstered sofa during the day while providing an additional sleeping solution when required.

In a guest room or home office, it allows the same space to serve multiple purposes. It can also be an excellent choice for apartments and other interiors where efficient use of available floor space is important.

With multiple configurations and three armrest designs available, Tahiti can be adapted to both compact and more generous spaces.
