The Tower Bed by LeComfort is a contemporary upholstered bed distinguished by its strong geometric composition and distinctive inclined headboard. The substantial upholstered base can also incorporate practical concealed storage beneath the mattress. Optional CONTENITORE and STAY mechanisms use high-resistance steel actuators and gas-spring assisted operation, combining the sculptural appearance of Tower with useful everyday functionality.

Tower Bed – Architectural Design with an Inclined Headboard

The defining feature of the Tower Bed by LeComfort is the unusual composition of its headboard.

Rather than following a conventional vertical or completely horizontal geometry, the headboard develops from the solid rectangular structure of the bed into a smoothly inclined form.

This creates a sense of movement and gives Tower a more dynamic appearance than a traditional upholstered bed.

The relationship between the substantial base and reclining headboard is carefully balanced. Strong horizontal lines provide visual stability, while the inclination of the headboard introduces a softer and more expressive element.

The result is a contemporary bed that can become a distinctive architectural feature within the bedroom.

Padded Inclined Headboard

The headboard of the Tower Bed is padded with form-stable expanded polyurethane foam with a density of 30 kg/m³.

The polyurethane padding is covered with a resin-bonded layer beneath the final upholstery.

This construction provides the softness expected from an upholstered headboard while allowing the distinctive inclined form to maintain its clearly defined profile.

The padding helps balance the strong geometry of the design, creating a more comfortable and inviting visual impression.

Padded Bed Frame and Footboard

The upholstered construction continues through the side rails and footboard.

These elements are also padded with form-stable expanded polyurethane foam with a density of 30 kg/m³ and finished with a resin-bonded covering beneath the upholstery.

Upholstered Container Base

Because the storage is contained within the footprint of the bed, it provides additional functionality without occupying extra floor space within the bedroom.

STAY Mechanism

The Tower Bed is also available with a STAY mechanism.

Like the CONTENITORE configuration, the STAY version uses high-resistance steel actuators, anthracite grey epoxy powder-coated components and a gas-spring assisted mechanism.
