Freetime Dining Armchair by Conform

The Freetime Dining Armchair by Conform introduces an unusually dynamic approach to dining comfort. Instead of using a conventional fixed backrest, Freetime incorporates Conform’s Syncro Backup technology, allowing the chair to respond naturally to your movements and support your back in different sitting positions.

Sit upright during dinner, lean back during a conversation or simply change position throughout the evening – the flexible backrest follows your body and helps maintain comfortable, ergonomically balanced support.

Available in Standard and XL sizes, with or without armrests and with a choice of wooden legs or an aluminium swivel base, Freetime combines Swedish furniture craftsmanship with technology normally associated with dedicated lounge seating.

Freetime Dining Armchair – Dynamic Comfort at the Table

The Freetime Dining Armchair was created around a simple idea: people rarely remain in exactly the same position throughout a meal.

Traditional dining chairs usually have a fixed backrest. Freetime takes a different approach by incorporating technology that allows the backrest to respond to the user’s movements.

Whether sitting upright at the table or leaning backwards during a longer conversation, the chair adapts to provide continuous support.

This flexibility makes Freetime particularly suitable for dining spaces where the table is used not only for meals but also for long evenings with family and friends, working, reading or everyday conversation.

Syncro Backup Technology

At the heart of the Freetime Dining Armchair by Conform is the Syncro Backup system.

The mechanism is designed to support the back as the sitting position changes, providing ergonomically balanced support in different positions.

Rather than forcing the user into one predetermined posture, the flexible backrest follows the body’s movement. This allows you to sit more upright when required and recline when you want to relax.

It is this combination of dining-chair proportions and responsive back support that distinguishes Freetime from a conventional upholstered dining chair.

A Dining Chair Designed for Longer Sitting

Dining areas increasingly serve several purposes. A dining table can become a place for meals, conversations, work and social gatherings, making seating comfort particularly important.

The Freetime Dining Armchair addresses this by introducing a more adaptable seating experience.

Its responsive backrest makes changing position feel natural, while the upholstered construction provides the softer character expected from premium dining furniture.

The result is a chair designed not only for sitting through a meal but also for enjoying the time spent around the table afterwards.

With or Without Armrests

Freetime can be configured according to both comfort preferences and the available space around the dining table.

The chair is available:

With shell armrests
Without armrests

The armchair version provides additional side support and creates a more enveloping seating experience.

Choosing the version without armrests gives the chair a more open appearance and can also be practical when positioning several chairs around a dining table.

This flexibility allows different Freetime configurations to be used within the same dining environment if desired.

Standard and XL Sizes

The Freetime Dining Armchair by Conform is available in two sizes:

Standard – the regular Freetime configuration.

XL – a larger version for customers who prefer more generous seating proportions.

The availability of two sizes makes it easier to select a chair according to individual comfort preferences rather than relying on a single universal seating format.

Four Wooden Legs

For a warmer and more traditional Scandinavian expression, the Freetime Dining Armchair can be configured with four wooden legs.

The wooden base complements the upholstered seat and works naturally in interiors featuring timber dining tables, natural materials and other Nordic-inspired furniture.

This configuration gives Freetime the familiar visual character of a premium dining chair while retaining its distinctive responsive backrest technology.

Aluminium Swivel Base

Freetime can alternatively be equipped with a swivel base.

Available swivel finishes include:

Moulded aluminium
Black-coated moulded aluminium

The swivel configuration introduces additional freedom of movement at the dining table and gives the chair a more contemporary appearance.

It can be particularly useful in open-plan dining areas where users frequently turn between the table and the surrounding living space.

Upholstered Dining Comfort

The upholstered construction gives the Freetime Dining Armchair a softer, more inviting character than a conventional hard-shell dining chair.

Combined with the flexible backrest and Syncro Backup technology, the upholstery contributes to a chair intended for extended periods of sitting.

Different upholstery choices can also significantly change its visual character, allowing Freetime to be coordinated with the dining table, surrounding furniture and overall interior concept.

Swedish Furniture Craftsmanship

Freetime combines Conform’s approach to ergonomic seating with Swedish furniture craftsmanship.

Its technology is integrated into the chair rather than becoming the dominant visual feature. As a result, Freetime retains the refined appearance expected from a contemporary dining chair while providing a noticeably more dynamic seating experience.

The Freetime Dining Armchair by Conform is therefore particularly suitable for customers looking for something between a traditional dining chair and the adaptive comfort normally associated with a lounge chair.

Configure Your Freetime Dining Armchair

The Freetime Dining Armchair combines responsive ergonomic support, Scandinavian design and extensive configuration possibilities in a chair designed for modern dining spaces.

Choose between Standard or XL size, shell armrests or an armless configuration and four wooden legs or a swivel base in moulded aluminium or black-coated moulded aluminium.

Most importantly, Conform’s Syncro Backup technology allows the backrest to respond naturally as you move, creating a comfortable environment for dining, conversation and longer periods around the table.
