Cortina Bed by LeComfort

The Cortina Bed by LeComfort is a sophisticated upholstered bed defined by soft curves, generous proportions, and an embracing headboard inspired by the flowing forms of a winter landscape. Its sculptural silhouette replaces rigid geometric lines with smooth, rounded transitions, creating a calm and inviting centrepiece for the bedroom.

The design combines this soft visual character with contemporary functionality. Optional touch-sensor LED reading lights can be integrated directly into the headboard, providing convenient illumination while preserving the clean appearance of the bed.

Cortina is designed for customers looking for an upholstered bed that feels substantial and comfortable without appearing heavy. Its curved forms, extensive upholstery possibilities, and optional lighting allow the bed to work equally well in understated neutral interiors and more expressive bedroom schemes.

Cortina Bed – Soft, Curved and Embracing Design

The Cortina Bed takes its inspiration from gentle, winding landscapes and translates these natural forms into upholstered furniture.

Instead of relying on straight architectural lines, Cortina uses curvilinear and enveloping shapes to create a softer relationship between the headboard and bed frame. The rounded profile gives the bed a welcoming appearance while establishing the headboard as the principal visual feature.

This makes Cortina particularly effective in contemporary bedrooms where the bed is intended to become the focal point of the interior.

The design can be kept subtle with warm beige, cream, taupe, or grey upholstery, or given a stronger personality through more expressive colours and textures.

Upholstered Headboard with Sculptural Curves

The headboard is central to the character of the Cortina Bed by LeComfort.

Its padded construction creates a substantial upholstered surface behind the mattress, while the flowing outline softens the overall architecture of the bed.

The absence of sharp visual transitions gives Cortina an especially relaxed character. This makes it suitable for interiors based around organic shapes, soft textiles and natural materials as well as more minimalist contemporary bedrooms where the curved headboard can provide contrast against cleaner architectural surroundings.

Optional Touch-Sensor LED Lights

One of the most distinctive functional options available for Cortina is the possibility of integrating LED reading lights directly into the headboard.

The lights use a convenient touch-sensor control, allowing illumination to be operated directly from the bed.

By integrating the lighting into the headboard, Cortina can provide practical bedside illumination without interrupting the clean lines of the design.

The lights can be particularly useful for reading in bed and may also reduce the need for conventional bedside lamps, helping maintain a cleaner and less cluttered bedroom arrangement.

Optional LED lights: €236 surcharge.

The LED lighting is not included in the standard bed price and is available on request.

A Bed Designed Around Contemporary Comfort

The appeal of the Cortina Bed comes from the relationship between visual softness and practical everyday use.

Its padded construction makes the bed feel warmer and more inviting than an exposed wooden or metal frame, while the curved headboard creates a comfortable visual backdrop for the sleeping area.

At the same time, optional integrated lighting introduces a practical contemporary feature without fundamentally changing the character of the design.

This balance allows Cortina to work particularly well in bedrooms where comfort, atmosphere and visual simplicity are equally important.

Extensive Upholstery Possibilities

The character of Cortina can change considerably depending on the selected upholstery.

Soft woven fabrics in natural shades reinforce the bed’s relaxed and organic appearance. Textured upholstery can emphasise the depth and curvature of the padded surfaces, while darker colours create a stronger architectural presence.

The broad choice of upholstery possibilities makes it easier to coordinate the Cortina Bed by LeComfort with other bedroom furniture, flooring, curtains and wall finishes.

Mattress Available Separately

The mattress is not included in the standard price of the Cortina Bed.

A suitable mattress can be supplied separately on request, allowing the sleeping comfort to be selected independently according to personal requirements.

This provides the freedom to choose a mattress according to preferred firmness, construction, and comfort rather than limiting the bed to one predefined mattress specification.

Please contact us if you would like help selecting a suitable mattress for your chosen Cortina configuration.

Bed Slats and Bed Mechanism

The bed slats should also be considered when configuring Cortina.

Bed slats are not included when the bed is ordered without a bed mechanism. They are available separately on request.

This is important when comparing configurations and prices, as the final specification depends on whether a bed mechanism is selected.

We recommend confirming the required bed base, slats, and mattress together when ordering to ensure that all components are suitable for the selected Cortina size and configuration.

Designed for Refined Bedroom Interiors

The Cortina Bed by LeComfort works particularly well in interiors where softer shapes are used to create a relaxed atmosphere.

Its curved silhouette can complement natural wood furniture, warm neutral fabrics, and subtle lighting, while the optional headboard lights add another layer of ambience in the evening.

The design can also provide an effective contrast in a minimalist room dominated by straight architectural lines. In this setting, the flowing headboard introduces softness without requiring excessive decorative elements.

The result is a bed that can become visually distinctive through its form rather than through unnecessary ornamentation.
