Windsor Bed by LeComfort

The Windsor Bed by LeComfort offers a contemporary interpretation of the traditional upholstered headboard, combining architectural structure with the inviting softness of two generous headboard cushions. Its distinctive outer headboard wraps around the base of the sleeping area, creating an elegant shell that frames and supports the two large upholstered cushions.

Rather than following a completely linear design, Windsor uses the contrast between its structured headboard base and softer cushions to create depth and rhythm. The result is a bed with a strong contemporary identity that remains comfortable and welcoming.

Extensive upholstery choices allow the Windsor Bed to be personalised further. The bed frame and structural headboard base can be upholstered differently from the two headboard cushions, creating either a subtle tonal combination or a more expressive contrast.

Multiple bed-base options and optional CONTENITORE or STAY under-bed storage add practical functionality to the design.

Free delivery throughout Europe on orders over €2,000.

Windsor Bed – Architectural Headboard with Two Large Cushions

The defining feature of the Windsor Bed by LeComfort is its distinctive headboard construction.

Instead of treating the headboard as a simple flat upholstered panel, Windsor uses a structured outer element that extends around the lower section of the bed, creating a shell-like form around the sleeping area.

Within this structure sit two separate, generously proportioned upholstered cushions.

The contrast between the more architectural headboard base and the softer cushions breaks up the conventional linearity of an upholstered bed and creates a carefully balanced composition.

This combination makes Windsor particularly suitable for contemporary interiors where clean design is important but a softer, more comfortable bedroom atmosphere is still desired.

Generously Padded Headboard Cushions

The two large headboard cushions provide the softer element within the Windsor design.

Both the cushions and structural headboard use form-stable expanded polyurethane foam with a density of 30 kg/m³, covered with Tecnoform beneath the final upholstery.

The side rails and footboard are also padded with 30 kg/m³ form-stable expanded polyurethane foam and covered with Tecnoform.

This consistent padding specification helps the individual upholstered components maintain their intended shapes while giving the complete bed a comfortable and cohesive appearance.

Customisable Two-Tone Upholstery

One of the most interesting possibilities offered by the Windsor Bed is the ability to personalise different sections independently.

The bed frame and structural headboard base can be upholstered in a different fabric from the two headboard cushions.

This opens up several design possibilities.

For a subtle result, the headboard base and cushions can be finished in closely related neutral shades. Combining beige with taupe, for example, can emphasise the layered construction without introducing a strong colour contrast.

For a more expressive bedroom, contrasting colours or textures can make the cushions stand out clearly against the surrounding headboard shell.

If fabrics from different price categories are selected, the price of the highest selected fabric category applies.

Fully Removable Fabric Upholstery

The Windsor Bed by LeComfort is available in fabric or textile upholstery, and the upholstery is completely removable.

This provides greater practicality for maintenance while allowing customers to choose from an extensive collection of colours, textures and fabric types.

The composition and appropriate cleaning or washing method depend on the selected textile, so the individual care instructions provided with the chosen fabric should always be followed.

Windsor is not available in leather.

Strong Internal Construction

Beneath the padded exterior is a robust structure designed for everyday use.

The headboard panel, side rails and footboard are manufactured from a combination of E1-class wood fibreboard and solid wood.

For versions equipped with a CONTENITORE or STAY storage mechanism, the internal bottom panels are made from E1-class wood fibreboard and covered with melamine resin.

This creates a stable structural foundation beneath the upholstered surfaces while supporting the optional lifting and storage systems.

Multiple Bed Base Options

The Windsor Bed can be configured with several bed-base solutions.

The FLAT, TWIN, FINE, TRIO, and HEAD bed-base models use a 40 × 30 mm steel frame, finished with anthracite grey powder coating and equipped with wooden slats.

The LUX bed base provides an alternative construction in solid wood and is also equipped with wooden slats.

This selection allows the bed base to be chosen according to the required configuration and individual bedroom requirements.

Optional CONTENITORE and STAY Storage

For bedrooms where additional storage is required, the Windsor Bed by LeComfort can be configured with a CONTENITORE or STAY mechanism.

These versions incorporate high-resistance steel actuators, finished with grey powder coating and assisted by a gas-spring mechanism.

The lifting system provides access to the concealed area beneath the mattress, creating useful storage space for bedding, blankets, pillows and other bedroom essentials.

Once closed, the storage remains discreetly integrated within the upholstered bed frame, preserving the clean appearance of Windsor.

Feet and Fly Bed Frame

Windsor is available with various standard and optional feet and finishes, allowing the lower profile of the bed to be personalised according to the selected configuration.

With the Fly bed frame, the Blade and Raf foot sets consist of:

2 decorative feet fixed beneath the footboard
2 structural feet fixed beneath the headboard

The Fly configuration can give the substantial upholstered structure a lighter visual appearance by raising the bed away from the floor.

A Contemporary Bed with a Softer Character

The Windsor Bed balances two different design languages.

Its outer headboard has a structured, architectural character, while the two large upholstered cushions introduce softness and visual comfort.

This makes Windsor particularly adaptable to contemporary bedroom interiors. In a monochromatic fabric, the different layers are defined primarily by their form and depth. With contrasting upholstery, the cushions become a much stronger decorative feature.

Natural shades such as sand, cream, warm grey and taupe can create a calm and sophisticated composition, while deeper or contrasting colours can emphasise the layered headboard design.

Customise Your Windsor Bed by LeComfort

The Windsor Bed by LeComfort combines an original architectural headboard, two generously padded cushions and extensive personalisation possibilities.

Choose from the available LeComfort fabrics, colours and textures and decide whether to create a coordinated single-tone appearance or contrast the headboard cushions with the structural headboard base and bed frame.

The choice of several bed bases, feet and optional CONTENITORE or STAY storage mechanisms provides additional flexibility when adapting Windsor to individual bedroom requirements.
